Christiane works as a director and art director, based in Hamburg. She shot her first documentary in 1995 on Super-8 in the Great Indian Desert of Rajasthan. The film 'The Bishnois - Be Fruitful and Multiply' was screened at film festivals in Madrid, Teheran and Czecheslovakia. During this time she studied graphic design and film at Central Saint Martins, College of Art and Design in London.
Already before studying she started a career as an art director and worked for advertising agencies like Jung von Matt, Hamburg, Wieden & Kennedy, Amsterdam, Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners, New York. In New York she directed her first commercials for Nike and Rockport. Back in Germany in 2002 she worked as a director at Kadar Film. Christiane won awards from the London TV station Channel 4, gold from the MC Icon Awards in San Francisco, she was awarded from the german Art Director's Club and won a bronze medal from 'die Klappe'.
From 2005 to 2006 she worked as a promotional and documentary director at the TV channel Amrita TV in the south of India.
Since 2007 she is back in Germany, working on projects ranging from commercials to image films and everything in between.
From 2009 to 2011 she worked full-time at advertising agency TBWA\ on international accounts.
She now continues as freelancer and works project oriented and internationally with creative houses.
